Kerala: Leo’s ₹60 Cr Record Falls
Leo held the record as the highest-grossing Tamil film in Kerala, with around ₹60 Cr gross. Jailer 2 crosses that mark today, in just its first week.
Kerala has loved Jailer 2 from the very first day. The film opened with ₹12.7 Cr in the state, and it has kept going strong through the Dasara holidays.
The Mohanlal Factor
Part of Jailer 2’s huge pull in Kerala comes from Mohanlal. His appearance in the first Jailer became one of its biggest highlights, and his presence in the sequel has given Malayali audiences another big reason to show up.
Middle East: Past $7 Million
The record has fallen in the Middle East too. Leo was the biggest Tamil grosser in the region with $6.7M. Jailer 2 has already gone past that and has crossed the $7M mark.
